How to get your acid pH level down to help prevent serious disease.
It is a known fact that diseases thrive in a body with an acidic pH level.
To ensure you have the best chance of fighting off serious diseases, you need to make sure your body is always operating at the right alkaline pH level.
Cancer is one of the diseases which is known to thrive in an acidic environment. Dr. Otto H Warburg discovered back in the 1930’s that cancer was unable to survive if it was starved oxygen, coming from an alkaline pH level.
An increase of acid in the human body leads to oxidization, and it is this which allows cancer cells to divide and thrive.
All of the ‘normal’ cells in your body have an absolute requirement for oxygen, except cancer cells. Cancer cells can survive with no oxygen. If you deprive a normal cell of 35% of its oxygen for just 48 hours, it has the potential to become cancerous.
With this information, we know that to help prevent cancer, we must aim to get the body to as low an acid level as is possible.
And what is the best way to do this? It can be done using your diet.
Many people are aware of the calorie and fat content of foods, and if they are considered ‘good’ and ‘bad’ foods, but many people don’t realize just how dangerous in terms of acid levels certain foods are.
The main culprits for acid forming foods are 1) Fried foods and 2) Processed foods.
We all know these foods are not good for our waistlines, but eating them in abundance can actually be encouraging cancer cells to form in our bodies.
It is no coincidence that fresh fruits and vegetables make us feel an instant hit of ‘health’ when we eat them. They are literally protecting our bodies against cancer each time we eat them.
It’s not just cancer either other diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and even premature ageing are all linked to a high acid diet.
Home remedy to combat acidity
This recipe is for a homemade tonic which contains two of the best ingredients you can take to combat the formation of acid.
1/3 tsp. baking soda
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice or organic apple cider vinegar
Mix everything together. The acid/base combination will immediately begin to fizz. Keep adding baking soda until the fizzing stops and then fill the glass with 8 oz. water.
Drink the mixture all at one, recommended once per day.
