Look out for these warning signs of a narcissist.
If you’ve ever had a close encounter with a narcissist, or even a relationship with one, you will understand just how much they can negatively impact your life.
These people feed off those weaker than them, they take what they can get and then bleed you dry of everything they can lay their hands on – your time, your money, your emotions, the list goes on.
But the narcissist is extremely clever, they will use every trick in their extensive arsenal to make sure they pick the right victims, the ones they can squeeze the most out of.
Look out for the following warning signs of a narcissist, and what they look for in their victims.
1. Someone who needs them emotionally
The narcissist is actually incredibly emotionally intelligent, and they can hone in on weak people who are searching to be wanted. Strong independent people scare them.
2. Someone who wants to be swept off their feet
A narcissist will provide to you an escape from reality, they are always ready to have fun no matter what day it is, and they will show you an exciting lifestyle that will make you get wrapped up in their world of excess.
3. Someone who they will benefit from being with
The narcissist, even if they themselves are not much to be desired in terms of looks or wealth, will always latch onto to someone higher than them in the social scale. Whether it be someone much wealthier or better looking that them, they use their charm to climb the social scale.
4. Someone who will let them be the victim
Narcissists are usually stuck in a childlike state in their head, they do not want to face any of lifes responsibilities and so they shy away from real life. They will always have an excuse of why they are unable to perform like a functioning adult and their facilitator will allow them to get away with it.
5. Someone who has low self-worth whether they realize it or not
Any good narcissist can pick out weak people from a crowd, and those with the less self-worth the better.
6. Someone who believes they can fix others
The classic situation of someone who desperately wants to help the tragic character they have fallen in love with. The narcissist is happy to allow them to try and ‘help’ with no desire to ever change their behavior.
7. Someone who is quick to trust those they care for
They say nice guys finish last, and this will always be the case if you end up trying to care for a narcissist. They know that you will do anything to try and help them and they will take advantage of it.
